Bob Esbenshade has always had a knack for putting bands together. The first one I know of was called Big Red, which did
original songs and covers of great music by the Band and Little Feat. Eventually, Bob and two of the members of that band formed a trio called Street Noise.
I was happy to join Bob, Dave Secunda and Glenn Redcay when they were looking for a second guitar. Dark 30 was sorta named for the highway we lived on, sorta because we were at the age when we thought 30 years was pretty old to be playing rock and roll.
We had a good run, playing in bars and making recordings in my studio in Paradise. We finished two album-length recordings, the second one pressed as a CD, Waitin' For Your Love.
