August 29, 2012 Here's a find. A guitar player chair, probably solid maple. It goes well with the console, doesn't it? No arms to get in the way, a good wide seat, a low back so headphone cords don't pull at ya- and it's solid as a rock. There will be no squeaking during a recording using this chair! Ah- but there's more... A drawer for acruterments...

August 28, 2012 Work is going well on the Summer Thieves e.p. remixes. Since they got some airplay on WXPN with their Paul McCartney cover song they've been itching to send a follow-up disk, but we all felt that the mixes as they stood weren't radio-ready. So it's been re-mix time around here. A lot of this involves making the bass sound right, because most of the original mixes were done in the basement studio where the effects of standing waves were prominent. The new room is vastly better (more even) in the bass region. And I've been writing regularly. The one I wrote this morning isn't finished- well, it is in a way, but I don't like where the last verses went. Here's the first 2/3 of the song- Another Perfect Day Also, when you're singing, some things can bug you. Right now for me it's the word "toward"... Anyway, I'll hang on to this part and see how it all turns out in the end. Oh by the way, my site at CD Baby is now active. I've got four songs for sale there at the moment, more to come.

August 14, 2012 I've opened an account at CD Baby, through which I will be getting songs into the i-tunes catalogue. No albums, just single digital downloads- my first one will be What Was the Point. Hopefully, there will be a point!
