Everyone believes in something. Yet there is nothing, nothing, that can stand up to intense scrutiny for long. Maybe we are not equipped to penetrate the boundry between ourselves and truth? Or maybe the truth is just there waiting for us to accept it?

I don't have an answer for that, but I do know that it's terribly sad to go around thinking that it's somehow possible to win the game of knowing. We can't know everything. Some things are better just accepted.

I like that there are thousands and thousands of belief systems to choose from. When I was younger this would upset me, or make me laugh, but now I find that it's really a blessing. One size does not fit all.
